CLICK Presents: Phenomenal Women | Paper Works by Marguerite Belkin
Opening Reception: Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, 6-8pm | Live jazz piano by Rob Fontana
Phenomenal Women is a celebration of seven talented, tough and tenacious women whose contributions have inspired millions. All the pieces produced for this show, including the mannequins, are wholly or in part made of paper-tissue, grocery bags, heavy-duty watercolor paper, Kraft paper, and paper maché. The paper is first painted, then stitched or glued in place.
Featuring art inspired by: Maya Angelou, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Zaha Hadid, Billie Holiday, Frida Kahlo, Maria Scheider, and Maria Tallchief
