Marilyn Cavallari

August at CLICK features the work of painter, Marilyn Cavallari.

Cavallari received her BA in Fine Arts from the State University College at Buffalo. She studied art at Penn State University and finished her degree at SUNYCAB with a concentration in Art History and Oil Painting. Her paintings grace private homes and collections in Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Florida, California, New Mexico and the Bahamas.

Artists Statement:

"Simplistic is the word I would use to describe my style of art. My simplicity is extreme. In a brief moment you can see the entire image without any distractions. It is direct and profound while being very minimal. I use true colors that are bright and happy, yet when everyone views my paintings their comments are often that my work is very calming.  In my landscapes the grass, the trees and the light source are the perfection of a Spring Day.

My life holds nothing extraordinary; I did not paint for most of it. I chose the life of a ballerina and ballet instructor. Finding painting has given me a new ability to translate what I see visually so that all are able to understand and enjoy. What I do see is happiness in the deepest sense. Now I can share it with all who have an interest."
